Well, I have been looking for a project TJ and after throwing it up on the lift, I definitely found it. I am new to the Jeep world, but wanted a project to keep me busy since I retire in a couple years. I found a “salvaged” 97 Wrangler Sport (the price was too good to pass up), 4.0L, Auto (I KNOW!). I was fine with it being a salvage as it would give me something to do (did i mention the price was amazeballs?). I put it on the lift tonight and found the damage - it looks like it was front left damage but the frame is intact. It has 140,000 miles on it and overall the “fixed” body was clean. Just stripped out the entire interior and am waiting for the new BedRug carpeting, Tuffy console, Wet Okole front seat covers, ripped the stereo out and will redo all the wiring (hack job - like most wiring jobs). Tomorrow will be draining ALL fluids, replacing hoses, etc. It came with a “4” lift” (of which 2” of it is a body lift ) and 33x12.50x15” tires/wheels. In a perfect world, I’ll be replacing to a true 3.5” to 4” lift, but will play that by ear. Priority is checking all the running gear (compression check was within 5% from factory - stoked on that), getting it mechanically sound, changing all fluids, inspecting tranny, front/rear and transfer, making the interior good, then ill work on lift and other stuff.

Definitely not a factory color, but it's a damn good color! That blue is gorgeous.

Very, very, very nice, and sounds like a good price!
