Just switched out my THOR intake due to multiple oil analysis reports coming back with silicon in the oil.

My choices were, pull and clean the filter every trip, which is a big PITA due to the location of the filter, and may not solve my issue.

Or purchase a better filter from AFE, but it's on backorder, and I still have to pull and clean it.

Or just ditch the "high performance" washable cone filters and go the windstar route with drop in paper filters that are easy to source and easy to replace.

I re-used the mounting bracket from the THOR kit as it was a perfect 3 in hole for the windstar snout.

Here are all the pieces layed out.

Mark and cut just like the instructions.

Mock up, measure and re-cut as necessary. I had to take 1.5 inches off the stock intake tube, after the first rough cut, to line up the pieces.

Black 1 min RTV and rivets.

Fully assembled!
