I have read numerous posts about the Windstar cowl intake install for the TJ. A number of them discuss installing it with the 42RLE automatic transmission. The supposedly minor issue is the transmission dipstick tube is in the way and I've seen posts that just say "bend the dipstick tube out of the way".
I started my Windstar cowl intake mod today. Got everything mocked up and drilled the 3" hole in the firewall exactly where it needs to be. Now the issue.
I place my Windstar air filter housing and it won't fit between the transmission dipstick tube the the two large connectors to the right of it. I know the dipstick tube needs to be moved, but I am a little hesitant on just grabbing ahold of it and bending it.
Anyone out there with a 2006 who did this and can provide some insight?
I also have a 1" MML, so this does affect the amount of room I have a little as well.
Thanks
