Anti-malarial drug poisoned veterans

I took mefloquine for 6 months while deployed to Haiti. Thankfully I dont seem to have any ill effects. A couple of guys I was deployed with are having some issues related to it though.

Doxy is the preferred malaria drug (if you have to take one). It is also useful for many other issues including correcting the drip and sores that appeared in an embarrassing location after that night of debauchery in Pattaya.

Took it in Afghanistan 2002, you either lined up and took it, or the medic would bring it to your foxhole; you did not get a choice to refuse it. I can't remember if it was the same one they gave us in the Iraq invasion 03, I thought they had a different one, but I cannot recall. Either way, the VA does not give a shit, good luck.
