Any idea what kind of product the previous owner used on these fender flares?

Any idea what the PO would have used on these fender flares? Is looks like it was wiped or sponged on. Doesn’t look bad but they missed several spots.

It just looks like paint to me, you can see where some of the silver was painted. If it was a dye or stain I don't think it would have covered your fender paint so well.

They did get some of it on the paint, but it comes off with a fingernail scrape. The way it looks on the paint seems like it was wiped on. Makes me feel like it was some sort of kit.

Yes they are. I was looking for something fairly cheap to replace if one gets mangled on the trail. So far so good but I can tell the paint is thinner than that on more expensive wheels. Here is a side view.

I agree. Can’t complain for the cost. I think I paid $120.00 each last year. The quality on the paint is probably a 8.8 out of ten. But they look good and balanced out well.
