Any idea where this under-hood ground wire connects to?

Hey all, I was under the hood for the first time in a while cleaning up and noticed a ground wire not connected to anything. Got any ideas?

I assume: anything that builds up friction, can build up charge. Better to have a controled path to ground than not. Both for RF interference, and fuel vapors. It could also be to complete the shielding needed for noisy electronic devices. Or maybe both.

The hood gets grounded to help prevent electrical noise/static from the ignition system from getting out of the engine compartment. That can help prevent static from interfering with things like AM or CB radios.
