Anyone make a tailgate “stay open” latch?

Well, that’s clever. It looks like a slotted piece is a track for the “keeper” pin? How is that slotted piece secured to the hinge? Maybe a couple more pics - I like it.

I drilled and tapped the hinge and used flat head screws.

Clever, the door stop
I’ll have to think on that for the HD hinges- maybe cut the leg and add a section to make it longer - that said, maybe just buy a similar unit at HD and hack it to fit.
I actually once did use a bone I found kickin around in the dirt - species? No idea, but curiously that yapping purse dog was silent the rest of the trip

I'm not too familiar with the HD hinges, but I've got the Outlaw piece. I don't think you would need to make anything longer, just mount it closer to the edge of the door, no?

I recall making mine shorter... can't remember why.
