Anything else I should do while I have the transfer case out?

I'm fitting the Rubicrawler on my 2005 TJ primarily because wheeling in our areas are very steep, and some are for long durations so its hard to keep the brakes cool. Also I am always catching up on those ahead of me on the trail if i rely on my engine breaking (Low 1)
I have the only Jeep in our club so am not really comparing apples with apples but it would be nice not to have to worry about brake fade.

Any way my question today is what else should I attend to while I have the transfer box out?
Run 31" with 1.5" lift, don't intend to change that and don't do rock crawling just normal trail stuff.

I already intend to do the front Uni-joint (did the rears a few days ago)

Service your transmission while your at it...found a deep gash on my pan and the gasket looked like a piece of bacon...fresh fluid and filter won’t set you back and your gonna be in there any way. Thanks to my buddy who had a new pan, he saved the day!

There is some pics of my recent install in my "build thread". They will at least give you an idea of whats involved.

The one thing I can think of is its a good time to reseal your transfer case.

Is your Jeep geared properly for the 31s? That’s going to have a big impact on engine braking down hills.

I know that’s not really related to the original question but if you’re geared properly you shouldn’t ever have to ride the brakes in 1st/4LO.

Depending on your mileage you might want to change out your transmission clutches. I'm not an auto trans guy, but if I have high miles on a standard trans and have the.transfer already off, I would definitely change out my entire clutch system. Throw out bearing, fork, pivot, etc. I know a auto trans is more work to get to its clutch packs, but if you take it to a good shop they can do it all in less than a day. And you can be confident in your drivetrain for another 100,000 miles and more.
