New to the group and looking for a some quick advice.

We picked up a high mileage 03 Rubicon that was in pretty decent shape for a bit of a father/son project car.

We just finished some minor frame repair that required us to pull the fuel tank and was just wondering if there were any other items or mods you think we should look at in the rear that would be good/easier to do while I have the tank out. Skid is in good shape, but plan on replacing the straps and repainting the skid plate before it goes back in.

If you have the fuel overflow issue when filling at the pump it may be a good time to take care of that fix.

If you have a 1” body lift, you can cut and re-weld the skid 1” higher to gain an inch of ground clearance. Or buy a high clearance skid like the UCF or Savvy

If you plan to install a high capacity tank like the Genright one, this would be a good time (those are expensive though)

Could always replace the fuel pump in advance

Glad I asked! Will definitely do the fix for the overflow issue just in case while I have the tank off and drained, and take a look at the upper shock bolts as well. Thanks guys!
