My name is Billy. I live in the mountains of western North Carolina. I'm a proud veteran of the US Navy (1989-95) having served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) working on combat direction systems. After a few odd jobs, I finally settled into work with Bellsouth/AT&T as a Facilities Technician. Working in all kinds of conditions I've and living in these mountains has made me really appreciate the capability of Jeep vehicles.

I've owned a few of Jeeps over the years including a '74 CJ5, '10 Jeep Sahara JK (2-door), a '92 XJ, and finally my '04 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. My wife has owned three Jeep Libertys (an '04, '07 and a '10). I had wanted a Rubicon since the first time I read about them in Jp magazine but it didn't make sense at that time. Finally, seven years ago, I bought this one owner, low miles silver 2004 Rubicon. I use it around the farm and I wheel it locally on backroads and trails and drive it back and forth to work on occasion.

My mods are simple and purely for function:

Warn XD9000i
Smittybilt SRC Classic Rock Crawler Bumpers (F&R)
Bilstein 5100 Shocks
H&R Springs
KC Daylighters
Hella Vision Headlights
Cobra CB w/Firestik Antenna

That's it for now aside from some subtle cosmetic items and WeatherTech floor liners. I'm getting ready to put some 265/75R16 AT tires on tomorrow.

Welcome. Nice clean mild silver Rubi. I like the simplicity of your build and love the look. Great job.

Thanks for the pics btw. We need our pic addiction fixes on here.
You're welcome! You've got a nice looking Rubicon yourself! Here's a picture from seven years ago. The first time I got the chance to do a little wheeling'. I was looking back and I had just added the winch, bumpers and KCs a month after I got it.

That's a damn find looking Rubicon you've got there! Welcome to the forum.

I like that you've kept it clean and simple, which is how I think these things belong. Even in stock form, they are more capable than most of us need.
