ARB compressor

My TJ is a 2002 it already had a ARB compressor on it but it takes a long time to fill up your tires and it gets really hot, So I purchased a new more updated one to replace it I thought they would just change out no need for new switch etc. The old compressor has a reservoir on it that holds brake fluid and ARB can't tell me what it is. I am trying to find out since it is not connected to anything but the compressor can I just disconnect it and take it off?

It's highly unlikely that an air compressor would have a reservoir filled with brake fluid attached to it. Could that reservoir actually be an air tank?

Can you post a good sharp close up photo of your old existing compressor?

Please post pic. Very interested to see what this reservoir is. Never heard of anything like it but hey maybe!

A little too close but that little reservoir above the compressor is the hydraulic clutch fluid reservoir.

So can I discconect the ARB from it

If you look closer you should be able to see that they're not connected. At least there is no reason the compressor and clutch hydraulic system should be connected.
