Are all factory fog lights the same?

Hi all! I found a good deal on some Mopar fog lights that came off of a 2006. I have a '97 and just want to double check that any year TJ fog light is plug and play on any year TJ correct? Lights and connectors are all the same?

No, the fog lights on 97-04 models are different than 05-06.

I've heard the plugs are slightly different as well, though I can't verify it. That's just what I've read in other places over the years.

If they are though, it's like you said, you can easily get some of those Deutsch plugs.
