I absolutely love the way those look but is there actually a difference in the way they make things operate?

A couple things. The Johnny joints are a far better joint than what I had before on the rough country’s. My rough country joints were all loose and worn. The Johnny’s are way more durable and having a Johnny joint on each end will allow me more travel in the rear. The rough country arms would bind in the rear before my shocks could go through full articulation. They are also double adjustable meaning you just twist the middle of them to adjust length instead of having to unbolt the joint and twist to adjust.
Well I got the front end done. Will have to cycle my axle before wheeling again but theoretically everything should be the same.
Just replacing the front lowers felt amazing. My steering wheel was super tight again and the Jeep no longer wandered. Drives perfectly straight now. The looser that joint got the more my Jeep would dart to the side when braking and now that is completely gone. I’m really interested to see if I will feel a difference when I replace the rear arms.

Nice! That auto and those arms are going to be a game changer. That is so cool that you and your dad both have TJs and go wheeling together!
They look great, and I didn’t realize the double adjustable could be adjusted while still bolted up. That’s the way to go for sure!

Thanks I think so too. Control was starting to be my limiting factor and I think the auto will give me the best bang for my buck in that department. I’m super lucky to have a cool dad that does all the same hobbies as me. We grew up surfing and riding motocross together as well
This is coming along amazing. I think the 32rh is a good call. I was thinking the same if I ever went to 35’s. You’ll have to report back on how you like the switch to an auto. Wheelin will be better, but no more shifting might get boring around town! Just Empty Every Pocket
Yep. 4.56 is the perfect ratio for the 32rh and it will actually be cheaper than a regear. The 32rh plus all the parts to go with it ran me 2k but I’m hoping I can sell all my manual stuff for around 1k so a hopefully 1k net total

Drove to work this morning with upper and lowers installed in the front and wow it feels even better! Steering is so tight now. Front end used to clunk over bumps and is now totally silent. With that distraction removed I now notice my rear end clunks as well. I can’t wait to install the rears!
I never knew any different because the Jeep came with those arms and I’m pretty sure the bushings have been shot the whole time so it’s all I knew. I am now realizing the importance of good joints, bushings, mounts and isolators etc. Needless to say I will not be able to stand segregation in quality any longer.

I’ve had one of the little 12v compressors that plugs into the cig lighter/12 volt plug. I made a pigtail with a female lighter socket on one end & a 4 prong (actually 2 prong) flat trailer light socket on the other end so that I could plug into the flat 4 prong trailer light outlet by the rear bumper. This way it can reach all 4 tires. You do have to have your lights on or a door open for the dome light in order to get power to the trailer light plug. To be honest, I haven’t used it on the Jeep tires so I don‘t know how it works. I put it together to fill the air bags on the big F-350 that I sold. It’s probably too slow & will probably get really hot, but I’ll give it a try. At least the whole thing fits into a 30 cal ammo can.

Pro tip for anyone thinking about installing savvy arms. Get a 12” long 7/16” drill bit beforehand. I had to drill out all the holes for the upper control arms and the rear upper by the exhaust is impossible to access unless you want to take your exhaust apart. So I took a 12” long drill bit through the hole in the outside of the frame to drill that mount out. It also helped drill the axle brackets out because I could fit the drill bit through the spring. Other than that it’s a straightforward install made super easy by the double adjustable aspect.

Did you have to drill out the front UCA bushings on the axle? Those were a bitch on mine!
Yep. They were just barely too small so I drilled them out. ‘‘Twas also a bitch on mine. Didn’t help that my drill ran out of battery halfway through one of them
