The other day my auto trans indicator light bulb burned out and actually melted the plastic bezel where it would mount to in the PRND21 area. I've replaced the bulb, and the light does not turn on.

Is there a fuse associated with this particular light bulb? or is there another issue...

I looked in my owners manual in the fuse section and didn't see anything that specified that bulb but some of the fuse descriptions are vague. Anyone have any ideas on this one?

No fuse for that bulb as far as I know. I have to wonder if it possibly melted more than just the bezel, or if maybe the bulb you replaced it with was faulty (which has happened to me before with bulbs)?

It never registered to me that the new bulb could have just been faulty, lol, wtf. However I bought a 10-pack of the bulbs. (It was cheaper to buy a 10-pack vs. 2 individual ones). I'll try a new one and see, if not I have no clue why it won't light up anymore...

That’s what I would try. On occasion I’ve bought new bulbs which turned out to be faulty.
