Axle seals leaking

Hey I need help I have replaced my axle seals twice and the passenger side keeps leaking I have use oem seals but the passenger side keeps leaking. I replaced the wheel Bearings because I thought they where the cause of the seal going bad but that wasn't it. It seems that the seal leaks when it gets hot outside I have checked the breather tube it is not clogged. I am kinda at a loss right now and could use some help....

How many miles ago did you change the passenger side seal?
Did you clean the old gear oil out of the axle tube or was there residual oil still there after you changed the seal?
Did you use RTV around the outside of the seal?
How much is it leaking?
Does the gear oil coat the inside of the tire and get on the frame or is it a just few drops or a very low volume?

I changed the seal 400 miles ago I didn't put any rtv on the actual seal. The axle tube was cleaned very good before closing it all up. It has leaked a decent amount of oil out of it but it seems to only leak when I drive it on hot days

your picture shows the outer dust shield, the axle seal is in the differential called the inner axle seal? Is the inner seal what you have replaced?

Yeah I have replaced the inner seal I am just showing how much it is leaking

Did you overfill the front differential? How much gear oil did you use?
OEM differential cover or aftermarket? If aftermarket, which one?

Also, you say that a "decent amount" has leaked out. Do you have any idea how much in ounces?

I have a stock diff cover and I filled it till it started coming out of the fill hole. I don't know the exact amount that is leaking out of it just notice a small drip in the driveway

How does the surface of the axle look? Those seals can be a bitch to seat properly. Are you certain they are deep enough and squared up?

^^^ what @Rob5589 said. If you don't seat and square them good they will leak. The pic looks like the passenger side. When you are putting the axle shaft back in if not careful you can damage the seal. I usually put some gear oil on the new seals before I install the carrier and shafts. This will help in not ripping or nicking the rubber seal. When you go to replace it again. After you remove the carrier. See if you can tell if you had gotten the seal seated before you remove it.

According to my local gear installer, the most common causes for a leaky front axle seal are (in no particular order): (1) a bad seal (unlikely if this is your second leaky seal); (2) a nick in the seal; (3) the axle tube is bending under load; (3) overfilling the differential; and (4) improper installation (see Rob5589's post).

On my 07 JK front axle, the seal also leaked, left side, around 60,000 km when I bought it 2nd hand. I checked the runout between the splines and seal surface. The runout was significant. I made a very thin sleeve similar to a speedy sleeve, but finished the OD on a lathe to run true to the splines. I did not change the seal. Still no leak at 130,000 km.
