Who are the preferred vendors these days for chromoly axle shafts?

I just installed a set of Discovery axles in the rear of my Rubicon. I do not know how much better the US made axles are, but these looked to be high quality.
How bad are the Alloy Dana 30 shafts?? Quadratec just had a sale on Alloy inner axles for under $160, way under for passenger side. I'm putting a Torq locker in the front of my LJ and understand the stock axles won't handle a locker. I'm not a bust my jeep for the fun of it guy, want a locker just because I've got hung up when a locker would've made I no problem.
I had a set of USA-made front axle shafts on order since last Christmas, and I finally gave up waiting for them about a month back after they told me they really don't know when they'll have them available again.
I have been running stock axles in mine for several years with a locker with no problems---it is how you drive that counts
On some trails more finesse is not always possible. I wasn't even being aggressive or giving it much gas when a front axle shaft broke, it was just a difficult spot on a difficult trail and the steering was all the way to the left placing more load on its u-joints and ears than it could handle. I finished the last half of the trail in 3wd.

I’ve been waiting for front axles from revolution since last November. I was in no rush and I never thought it would take this long. They still don’t have an ETA. If your in a rush you might want to find them else where.

I ordered Revolutions USA rear shafts off polyperformance. Took about a month and a half before they were drop shipped.
