I just bought a 1999 Jeep wrangler tj. It has a hard top on it and the rear glass windowed no open assist struts
So I bought the correct struts and tried to install them on the back hard glass window, but when I go to close it the struts pop off the top strut bracket before window is fully close. Try another new set of struts and same results. Is my top strut bracket on the the, back window wore out?

Pictures? Might help to see what you're dealing with. By the way, welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum. Refresh my memory..do those struts use a c shaped clip to retain them?
