I’ve had a whine/whistle from my Jeep since i bought it. Originally thought it was a cracked exhaust manifold or a leak from the down pipe connection to the manifold, so i replaced both and thought it would take care of it because the manifold was cracked in two places upon inspection. But the whistle/whine is still there, it’s definitely coming from the alternator. Alternator is still charging my battery just fine, so is it a bad alternator or maybe just the pulley? And if it is the pulley, is there anywhere to get a replacement? Haven’t found anything online.

IF you are sure the noises are coming from the alternator and the alternator is still charging the battery and supplying your vehicle needs; then the noise is probably coming from the bearings.
You can apply a few small drips of oil to the shaft behind the pulley with the engine off and then start the engine to see if the noise has lessened or disappeared.
I had a noisy alternator during a trip to Moab and you can hear the noise in some of the videos. I added a couple drips of oil and the noise disappeared for a few days until I replaced the alternator.
Im almost certain it is the alternator. The noise is gone when i start the engine with the belt off and i used socket extensions as a stethoscope and could hear the whistle very loud on the alternator. I’ll try the oil out and see if that helps.
If you measure the pulley diameter, number of serpentine grooves, shaft OD you may find one at an alternator rebuild shop.
