Basic lift for modest trail riding?

A short cut is a short cut.
And a 1" boost is a 1" boost. For what sounds like very light duty, and already a Rubicon, it would let the OP run 31s. Where are you finding new springs for the same $40?
I suggested springs first with 32's but the consensus was leaning towards 31s. And a 1" lift.
For a 1" lift and mild usage I found it hard to justify a large outlay of cash, when in all probability after a few times off pavement he will likely be wanting more than a 1" lift. And if not, the pucks would suffice.

Since we are splitting hairs, the BFG T/A KO2 265/75-16 tires are 31.6 inches so they split the difference between a 31 and 32 inch tire. I have these tires with a 2 inch OME lift and I have experienced no rubbing. I have Currie control arms so there may be some rubbing with the stock arms which have a little less clearance. This setup has worked well for me on some pretty gnarly trails but with no significant rock crawling.

Progress report and a few quick questions...

I went ahead with 2" Pro Comp springs, .75" spacer in front, 0-2" Rancho RS5000X shocks. I also got 265/75R16 Milestar Patagonia MT Tires, supposed to be 32" but I measure more like 31.5" as typical.

I got a little rub on inside passenger, so added a washer to driver steering stop and it's almost gone. I think it'd be more appropriate to fix with an adjustable track bar to recenter and problem would likely go away, otherwise I can live with the slight offset. I'm torn between the Rough Country adjustable, even though it's got the weaker (but good enough?) factory style ball joint vs the JKS because I'm leery of having to drill out the hole (in general trying to keep all mods reversible). Reviewing a lot of similar build threads I see people doing the rear but not the front, why is that?

I tried to do a bump stock check, but that was just before I had the tires installed. It was pretty obvious the shocks and springs were ok and intended to do some amount of body lift. I wasn't really watching the track bars at the time and I'm way too lazy in the summer heat to go as far as taking springs back out right now. I did drill and tap front pads and added 1 hockey puck (at first 2, but seems way too much < 4" up travel). Also, I previously replaced my rotten yellow jounce bumpers with the hard black poly, so I think those are stiff enough to account for at least 1" bump stop on their own, and this should be "enough"?

I agonized for awhile, but today I just completed a 1/2" Rokmen body lift and 1" MORE MML. The BL (besides following @CodaMan 's build) seems just enough above rear bumper for matching bigger spare sometime without messing too much with clearance of the shifters or noticeable crack. When I pre-measured the fan shroud which wasn't quite centered this seemed like it would re-center, but now I'm only like 1/4" away at the top, the factory motor mounts must have sagged. Is this too close and need to go ahead slot the fan shroud mount holes? Does the engine buck up a little under load (I thought I read this somewhere)?
