During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler with bait in the airplane. A bear smelled it and decided he needed to check it out. This is what the bear did to the plane.
The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him two new tires, three cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane
together and FLEW IT HOME!
Duct Tape? Never leave home without It.

Got to LOVE Alaskan Bush Pilots.....

Crazy. Bush Pilots are tough and fearless.

Yes they are. Living on the north slope I flew with them a lot as a kid and they were teaching me how to fly. They'd bring me along and once there weren't any passengers they'd let me take over. They'd be like here is the heading and the beacons wake me up when it's time to land.
I loved it because it got me out of a lot of school.

Then you may know if this time honored fact is true. Is it?

Not a plane guy but that looks like a supercub, a super popular, super light bush plane. It’s pretty amazing on how short of tracts they can land on.

Our ride to fly-out salmon fishing this past summer, a bit of a touristy trip but pretty cool non-the-less
