Because you need to know the rules for "Ducking"

Ok - so let’s say you roll up on me and wave, and I don’t wave back. How would that make you feel?

I generally wave at everyone, especially if they wave at me first. Simple respect.

Well i wouldn’t do that so it wouldn’t make me feel any sort of way. I’m not entitled enough to expect a wave from anyone. Safe to assume you’re from a small town or rural area?

You wouldn’t do what - wave at me in my rig? Then to what type of Jeep do you wave?

im generally not even paying enough attention to what people are driving to even notice you wave. If i notice someone wave at me and they happen to be in lifted jeep than yah I’ll prob wave back but like i said. Generally not paying attention to what anyone else is driving never mind looking into their windshield of oncoming traffic.

I would get this because I'm a lazy mofo and don't want to be chased down by a Jeep Karen.

I don't wave just because you're in a jeep either, I also don't wave at every mustang or F150 I meet. If I notice someone waving at me, I will return it, but not with the stupid jeep wave.

When I’m at my place in North Dakota I wave are everyone because it is rare to have strangers driving in my rural area and the majority are my neighbors. North Dakota Nice. I don’t usually wave at Wranglers because there are too many around me in SoCal and I’m too busy driving.

I think that's also part of southern culture. It's been fading lately, but a casual wave on the road has been common throughout the south and the grumpy-no-wave was a giveaway of a transplant, but I’d be pissed off too I was from the north.

We have gotten 3 or 4 over the years, all handed to us by kids. It made them happy to give them out and we enjoyed interacting with them. I have seen people throw them down when they come out to their Jeep. I get it, you don't want to participate but, if it was a kid and they are watching you, I personally think that's a shitty thing to do.

That's where I'm at with it. I’ve probably gotten a dozen ducks over the last few years, and most of those have been out on the trail when the kids and I are out playing and someone rides up and hands them ducks. It's just a simple, nice gesture, but some guys react like that little duck raped them in the past and got away with it. :ROFLMAO:

Keep the ducks but you must share the wave. My old CJ7 was stock other than the tires and 350 under the hood which was hidden. Every one back then waved weather it was lifted or not. Dont judge a book by its cover unless you know what it does. Beauty dents and scratches are a good clue. I have many.

I agree, what is a little rubber duck going to do. MAKE YOUR WHEEL FALL OFF OR SOMETHING ?

I grew up on a farm and we waved at every car. Until we got in town. Screw the city people. :ROFLMAO: Town was 12,000.

I miss plenty of Jeep waves here, because there are lots of Jeeps and you need to drive defensively. I've had 4 people run into me in 20 years and there is at least one attempt every day when commuting.

I've been ducked 4 times. Twice in South Dakota.

It's a fine line with the ducks. It might be a simple gesture but think about the impression on your kids. That guy quite possibly created die hard duckers when he handed them ducks!!! 😳
