As much as I'd like to say this Scrambler is mine, it isn't. I took this on as a side-job. I was pretty proud of the results.
Here was the request:
- Install a headunit which could be installed in the console, but he was open to other options.
- Add speakers to the rollbar.
- New seats
- New dash pad
- New visors
- Add rollbar padding and cover
- Install new headlights with LED halos.

Here's some pictures of what I was going to be working with.

The old seats were removed, and the brackets were stripped of the old and flaking paint, and rust. Resprayed the brackets and installed the Trailmax II Sport seats from Bestop.

I made the new cover using 1/8" acrylic to fit the new head unit. The insert for the USB ports and toggle switches was made using the same 1/8" acrylic. The chrome bezel that comes on the KMC2 was too big for liking, so I trimmed it down to better match the factory gauges.

Material and Parts:
Spice Denim Jeep Material
Kicker KMC2 Marine
Fusion USB extension port
The stainless hardware I picked up from Lowe's

Next came the pod for the rear speakers. I would have preferred to build one for each side, but I knew the top would be off more times than not and didn't want to jeopardize the volume that the new speakers would produce. So, a solo pod it was.

Parts and Materials:
6.5" Clarion CMQ1622RL Marine Coaxial Speakers
3/4" PVC Board
Spice Denim Jeep Material
Amass XT60 connectors
1/4" ABS

I can't seem to find a picture of the pod attached to the rollbar, but I used the 1/4" ABS for that. The ABS sheet was made to fit nearly the entire topside of the pod, and it laps over the rollbar. Before I put the new rollbar padding and cover on, I drilled and placed two rivnuts into the bar, so that the overlapping ABS can be bolted down tightly.

If I locate a picture, I'll go back and add it.

The wires for the speakers and lights were ran through a hole that I drilled at the base of the rollbar on the driver's side, and fished up to another hole at the top. Where they come out is also under the ABS sheet.

Well done! Is this side work for you? Looks like you have some very specialized tools to do this.
Thanks! Yeah, this isn't something I do very often. The owner knew of my past work from other things I've worked on, so he hit me up about doing some work on the Scrambler. When it comes to needing specific things like the monster of a router bit you see there in the picture, I have a buddy that has what I need.

Wow love the dash! Lets see some other projects like that. Anything TJ?

Thanks, man. My original intention was to router out a bezel for it from a piece of 1/4" aluminum flat stock, but I made a mistake and ordered the wrong grade of aluminum. I did get it cut out, but the cutting was super tough and didn't turn out smooth. So, for time sake, I scrapped the idea, but it would have looked badass. No projects like this with a TJ, unfortunately. Picked up another job right after this one, but it was for a Harley Davidson. Still cool though.

Post some more photos of that thing, it looks beautiful!

@psrivats
Thanks, Chris. I appreciate that. I'm going to get back on and put the rest of the pictures on here later today. Trying crop some of these so as not to kill fun in building up to the end.😏😆

When I got to the headlights, I wanted to try not losing any more of it's classic look than I had to. And, I didn't want to try my luck with the LED halo rings that are an add-on. So, I ordered the closest thing I could find.

Parts:
Oracle headlights with sealed beam halo
Two 5-pin relays
Standard H4 style bulbs from local parts store

Me being me, I wanted to clean up the headlight housings before they were put back in.

The two relays were installed behind the passenger side headlight to keep them and their wiring out of sight. The reasoning for using the relays was to have the halo's LEDs to function as driving lights, and as turn signals.

As I'm digging through and looking for the pictures, I keep finding more that shows things progressing along. I'm going back and adding pictures as I come across them.
