Bedline New Fenders or Not to Bedline?

My new fenders came in today, which was super fast! I've been seriously thinking about bedlining these along with my fender flares to give it a tough look, but I also want to protect the fenders and flares from dings and such. I want to just do it, but I've read stories about the bedline material fading over time and I really don't want to have to redo them after a few years. If I did bedline them could I spray them with a matte clear coat finish to help protect them from fading or am I just best to go with a straight up matte black paint job on them? All thoughts and recommendations are welcome.

Thanks guys and keep on Jeepin' on!

I used bedliner on the lower portion of my old Cherokee XJ. It held up just fine over the years and never faded or had any issues at all. I rather liked it too, because it gave that tough look to the rocker panels.

So yeah, if it was me, I would definitely bedline them. Just make sure to use a good quality bedliner such as this stuff:
