I took the advice of several folks on the site and ordered the Bosch fuel pump off of Amazon.
There seems to be confusion on the strainer that comes on the pump, some say it doesn't fit in the TJ tank and you need to order both the FS 221 and FS 222 strainers in order for it to work properly.
Can someone verify you can't use the strainer that comes with the pump?
Thanks

searisly where can I find a Bosch fuel pump unit for my 1997 2.5L TJ? this link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BZJDK2/?tag=wranglerorg-20 as recommened by Jerry says it will not fit my make/model.

Is the unit in the above post' link the actual replacement for 2.5L?
I just checked and Amazon says it's the right one for your '97 SE. Though it also unfortunately says it's out of stock.

eBay shows one in stock and they too say it's the right one for your '97. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3532443125...d=link&campid=5337789113&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

weird bc I had also checked the bosch webpage after checking the amazon fit check which said it did not and it also said the 67655 was not compatible with my 97 SE when it asked to check my fit: now with the vehicle loaded on the webpage cookies it says the part is. thx u for clearing that up.
to be straight the Bosch 69316 is or is not compatible and/or recommended. I see it is a turbine FP. THX U
