Found a 1997 Wrangler Sahara with 66k miles and ZERO rust. Old man near StLouis owned it and drove it about 600 miles a year. Drove 4 hours from western MO and slapped down the 8200. It does have the front end wobble but I know that's fixable.


This was a Craigslist find and I can't believe how clean it is inside and out. It was posted an hour when i saw it..called him..told him i was on the way and by the time i got there he'd had 3 offers for asking price.

I look forward to going through this machine and will probably be picking your brains.

I appreciate this forum as I learned a lot about what I needed to look for before I made my purchase. Thank you.

Looks good, and I'd love to see some shots of the frame. I'd be a bit concerned and look into cleaning that wiring up along the firewall. Not sure what went on there.

I know he hardwired a horn button on the dash due to factory horn not working. The wiring is something I will be tracing for sure.
