Broken springs in my rear diff

I'm afraid an impact is going to be your best bet in this case. Might need one capable of higher breakaway torque.

Well how about that, thanks everyone! Now i know I have a dana 44 and where the springs in my diff cover came from. Glad I joined this forum. One more question though. I've had an impact gun, pb blaster, and a hefty breaker bar on the front pinion nut trying to break it loose (because it is leaky too). It hasn't budged. Any helpful tips beside persistence with more pb blaster and impact gun to get it off?

X2 on the ATF and acetone. Also I have used a large breaker bar and a jack before to get stubborn lugnuts off, might be worth a try. Make sure to take safety precautions though, lots of kinetic energy!
