I've got an EAG rear bumper with the spare tire mounted on it. When I bought the Jeep I could barely swing the tire carrier. Last spring I used a jack and 4x4 and got the carrier off the post on the bumper. Was surprised to find it had no bearings, it just sits on the post. A fellow Jeeper told my to clean it up and use anti-seize on it before putting it back together. I could swing it open and closed with one finger after that. Now 10 months and a heavily road salted Illinois winter later I'm rocking the entire Jeep again trying to open and close it. Any suggestions other than buying a better bumper? I don't want to have to pull it off every year to lube it.

Drill a hole, tap it, put in a jerk fitting. Easy way to grease it.
It takes a village. That’s the beauty of the internet age and great forums.
And people think good mechanics charge too much.
Definitely be lost without the internet lol. I should have thought of a drilling it when I took it off the first time
