Buyer Beware

Just wanting to give everyone a heads up on a user on here by the name @Goreshnik. I bought a handful parts off him from his business “Graveyard Jeeps” about a month ago now and with advice from @Chris I'm posting on here for others to be aware.

Seller just threw everything I ordered in a box, no packing material and didn’t tape up the box or anything and acted shocked that everything I ordered was damaged. He also didn't didn’t include numerous parts I ordered. He tried blaming the shipper but everything was in the original box and original shipping label. He offered to refund me and keep the parts I had received. I told him to just deduct what it was going to cost to send the rest of the parts I ordered from my refund. After nearly a week of me messaging him he finally gave me a refund anyways despite me saying I’d still pay for the parts I received. After ignoring me for almost another week asking if he had shipped my other parts I was still waiting on he finally replied saying he wasn’t shipping anything else and wanted the parts back that I had previously been told to keep (and already installed at this point). I’ve bought parts from him in the past and received a part that ended up not being usable because it was rusted/rotted out so bad, but let it slide since I didn’t ask for physical pictures of the part he was shipping and found an alternate part to fit the bill.

Here’s a picture of exactly how the box was sent to me. The speakers he included with the sound bar were just loose in the box with no padding, not installed in the sound bar like one would expect.

I know he sells a lot of parts on here and seems like he's able to help a lot of others out with parts they're needing, I'd say use caution, ask for pictures of exactly what you're getting, and avoid paying in a way that you can't dispute what you received.

I just got all the parts for a Yukon hub kit that I need to adapt a big brake kit to it. The customer had the shop doing the work ship the parts. 2 bearing hubs, 2 spindles, wheel studs, bearings, spindle nuts. They tossed all the parts in a box without wrapping them individually in the 10 lbs of foam padding sheets that they then just packed in the box on top of all the loose parts. Needless to say, the grease seal lips on the hubs got smacked in. Fortunately I have a perfectly sized piece of a hub bearing for a front wheel drive car that I mash in there that forces them back out into shape.

I just received an item that I bought that wasn't cheap. If I was more of a dick and interested, I'd be a bit pissed about scratches that shouldn't be there.

Not sure how wrapping and packing stuff to protect it in shipping escapes so many folks.

It also occurs to me that you can give him a custom user title under his name. Shipping 'tard, don't order anything delicate or more delicate than a steel ball from me.

Bubble wrap generally isn't that great. The foam sheets are awesome though since you can't pop them.

It seems to happen more and more with perceived “durable” items too like springs, armor, bumpers, etc, a manufacturer just sticks a shipping label on it and call it a day. Maybe just me but if i’m buying an item new, even if it’s something going under the truck, it’d be nice not to have scratches and dents all over it by the time reaches me

I bought a radio from him which was not packaged properly and was damaged during shipping. He wanted to go to the shipper and blame them, but I told him it wasn't packaged well and that was the reason it got damaged and was not due to the shipper. A week or so later he did refund me, but his communication skills are very weak at best. I had honestly written it off by the time I saw the refund.

With that said he did make good on it, but I would have loved to have had a working radio. I'm not surprised there have been other issues with his shipping practices. I don't wish the guy any ill intent, but he could improve on his packaging.

In college physics I had a project where I had to build a container to drop a raw egg from a 5 story parking garage without it breaking, and aerodynamic braking options (like parachutes) were off limits.

I still use those principles when I pack stuff, and as I'm doing it I hope that the recipient notices and appreciates the effort.

I love posts like this. I sell hundred of parts across different forums and markets. I will admit we do have issues with shipping from time to time. 99 percent good and 1 percent bad. But there is one thing no one will every say. If the item comes in broken. There will never be a reason you don’t get a refund. @TreverStevens is just a little cry baby. As soon as he told me what happened. I told him keep anything you can save. I’ll get you a full refund. By the way guys the sound bar was just fine. The speakers that were separate did get damaged. He got a free sound bar and even messaged me that he’s using it now. Sounds like some fraud sh** to me.

Why shitty parts? I will admit I’m in the salt capital of the us. But I wouldn’t call my parts shitty. Maybe rusty at worst.

That's a great attitude. I'll make sure to never buy anything from you - What the fuck do you have against packing things appropriately? I highly doubt your claimed 99-1 ratio is accurate.
