Buying a used Dana 35, what to look for?

I laughed my way off of Facebook marketplace after asking him what he wanted for a wrecked lj tub. It was like 3k$
You have to be built a certain way to do that stuff and then there has to be enough folks that pay those prices or they wouldn't keep doing it.
There is a gent in Paramount whose does part outs, at least most of his stuff is reasonable. He listed a rust free 03-06 frame the other day for 750 which is right in the ballpark of what they should go for.
I know who you're referring to, he will probably be the guy I end up getting the Dana 30 from eventually.
Does he list stuff anywhere? I keep looking for the rear half of an lj tub to do a conversion without the tj6 wheelbase. I'm never in the sacramento area or I'd be trolling the many yards over there.

There's a kid around here trying that same shit. He had a hardtop with a busted side glass for sale last year, overpriced, but I made an offer, which he rejected saying I was lowballing, that top was worth $2,000 fixed. A few weeks later the busted top is marked sold, and he has an identical top with a good window listed at $2,000. It's still listed a year later. The drugs are real.
Well I might have a lead on a Dana 30 now.
Question, this Dana 30 tag seems to indicate 410 gear ratio. I'm just slightly confused why this tag is saying 410, but the Dana 35 was showing 4.11. Is there really a difference, why would one be 4.10 and one 4.11?

No difference. IIRC my rear 35 gear is stamped 4.11 and my front 30 is stamped 4.10.
The difference in the ring gear diameter i believe. I regeared mine 35/30 and noticed the same thing...
It is different. One truly is 4:10 and the other 4:11 but that's the way it is based on the axle. They work together as if they're the same ratio. Nothing to worry about

4.09,4.10 and 4.11 are used interchangeably. There is more difference in ratio from tires than that. It is just how the math comes out with different numbers of teeth on the pinion and ring. 45/11,41/10,37/9.
The last time I saw 4.09 was on a 70's f150
For $150 this is what I'm potentially driving 2 hours one way for. No axles, no hubs, no knuckles, no brakes. All of that stuff would have to be swapped over from my current axle.
I feel like this would be a pretty decent deal to basically regear my Jeep on the cheap, the wife however was not thrilled about another road trip for another axle. I promised her the Jeep only has 2 axles.

I drove 45 minutes to get this at the pull and pay.
Well it turned out to be a waste of a Sunday morning. I got there and opened the diff up and there's no ring gear on the carrier, no oil in it. Total bust. The search continues...
