Buying my first jeep - your advise please

I've read on here somewhere that the mileage does not actually accumulate (register) on the odometer when being towed. If that is true (someone please chime in on that), then the PO is blowing smoke up your skirt. As for the 4.0 going way over 200,000 miles, all you have to do is look on Craigslist at the number of them that are for sale (in TJs, XJs, etc...) to see how many of them have 300,000+ miles on 'em. That says something, if you ask me. By the way, I love Medford. My wife is from there!

I have a 2000 tj that I tow and the miles do not register when being towed
