I just got finished installing a custom turbo setup on my 2002 Wrangler and put it on the dyno only to find it has a huge oil leak. It appears to be coming out of the camshaft synchronizer housing. I cleaned it up pretty well with brake cleaner and ran it. The oil seems to be coming out between the plastic sensor top part and the aluminum base. Is this a thing that happens? Is there a seal in there or am I looking at a new synchronizer? It is also odd it started leaking now. I changed the rear main, pan gasket, head gasket, valve cover gasket, and synchronizer base gasket a few months ago and it has been clean and dry since. Bad luck maybe??
