I don't know the answer.
but the question hit me after my torque convertor failed last week, leaving me stranded and with a $1300 tranny overhaul.
Thanks to POs records the TC had been replaced along with major overhaul just 21k miles prior. A torque convertor should not fail that soon.

The P.O. put a 2" lift on but did not correct the 25-35 mph driveline vibration.

I'm just wondering if the driveline vibes caused the TC to fail too soon ???

I cannot see how but I am certainly not an authority. More likely that cheap parts were used for the rebuild. Kind of suspect to have a "major rebuild" then sell it.

$1300 to overhaul the transmission seems like a reasonable price. Slightly off-topic (sorry), but what all did that "overhaul" include?

I'm not sure, will try to find out when I pick up my jeep Mon morning if i can.
They usually just list "master overhaul kit" and beyond that you have to ask questions.
My first one will be, 'why do I need an overhaul if only the torque convertor is bad'
