This is my first question on here so thanks in advance for any help. I have a 2001 TJ sport 4.0 auto. I have been looking at installing a 4 inch lift. Most if not all the kits I have looked at include transfer case spacers to compensate for the increased drive shaft angle. There are some that state the SYE is required if there is an automatic transmission. I am mostly a DIY guy, working on this kind of stuff is a form of stress relief but I need to minimize the actual shop time so I wanted to do this is stages.
Can I install the SYE in its current stock height then later install the lift or will I need to plan on extended shop time to just do it all at the same time? then second, I want to confirm with the SYE the transfer case spacers are not needed? any other relevant info concerning this idea would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
