I'm in the middle of the build on my Sienna Pearl 2001 Jeep TJ, and I can't decide on wheels. I'll be running 35 x 12.5 tires (brand tbd). Should I go with black, or should I buck the trend and go with machined aluminum look? Maybe even gray. The wheels I'm considering are the following:

AR23 Machined https://www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/buy-wheel-offset/AR235865/american-racing-ar23-15x8-19
AR23 Satin Black https://www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/buy-wheel-offset/AR235865B/american-racing-ar23-15x8-19
Walker Evans 501 Legend Graphite https://www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/buy-wheel-offset/501-5865GN/walker-evans-legend-15x8-19
Walker Evans 501 Black https://www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/buy-wheel-offset/501-5865SB/walker-evans-legend-15x8-19
Fuel Anza Anthracite https://www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/buy-wheel-offset/D55815806537/fuel-anza-15x8-18?

I just can't make up my mind. I welcome all opinions.

This is about as personal a choice as any component of the TJ. Other than stock Moabs and Canyons that everyone seems to like, you'll get opinions all over the place on aftermarket wheels. After hours of mind-numbing viewing of 100's of wheels, my decision came down to Fuel Anza and ICON Rebound. You can see what I chose in my Avatar. Good luck!

I went with what I could afford, Mammoth, but I do like and did look at the walker- Evens. Best luck deciding, I had fun looking, make the call was the hard part.

With a dark color Jeep just about any wheel would look great...except any black wheel, I'm not even sure if I'd put a black wheel on my silver Jeep.

Just my opinion.
I'm kinda leaning toward the machined aluminum or maybe a gray. I think you're right. On a darker color jeep, I'm not sure I'd like the black wheels. Everything is too dark. I don't know.

Not a fan of black wheels myself. At most a gunmetal gray.

Of the ones you posted I'd go with the first link. I'm partial to the gambler style wheels as well.

Wheels are so over-rated...

What do you plan to do with your rig?

if you’re intending on wheeling, don’t drop a ton of money on wheels that will inevitably get dinged, scratched, gouged, dented, or whatever other marking Thesaurus.com can throw at you.

Worrying about bouncing around your investment because you spent way too much takes the fun out of the off-roading.

Aside from that, go check out the Unfortunate JK of The Day thread for a while. You’ll feel good about any of your options after perusing the utter trash in that thread!

In my honest opinion 19’s are going to look like shit on a TJ, but if that’s the look you like you do you. Color wise with your paint I think a lighter color like a silver, gray , aluminum or even white would look best.

On that color, Walker Evans or Fuel Anza. Tough choice. Beautiful color Jeep.

I think they are all 15x8, I like the last 3 choices best and the walker evans are unique....had not seen those before. Good luck
