Tri-fives are one of those cars that just do it for me, even though they've been done-to-death, and a 55' post car is the best for hot rodding IMO.

The first movie to ever make me cry at the death of its main character...
Smokey and the Bandit. I love the T/A and the rig, especially the mural on the trailer.
So cheesy, I really get a kick out of the scene where Sally leans over and says "are we really going a hundred and twenty?!", then they show the speedometer showing 60mph

When Henry Fonda wrecked that boat - broke my heart.
My first movie where I was just old enough to start liking cars and fell in LOVE with the 58 & the rod.

We had Smokey & the Bandit on VHS in our unit lounge in 1980 in Germany. I watched that movie so many times that I knew all the lines. A VHS movie back then was expensive.

They wanted a GT40 as the main car in the remake. I can’t imagine that show without a Mustang.
