Same with the thunderbird variant. Used to be several in our small town.
They sold almost a million t-birds in that body style.

Ford has practice building some butt ugly T-birds , this is a wonderful 69 T-bird as example.

I had a '92 T-bird. V-8 powered. That thing was long-legged. I found myself driving way too fast on the highway more often than I should have been. I decided that it was probably something I didn't need to use as a daily driver. I did like it, however. Generally, a very nice ride.
It takes a lot of rubber to hook hard enough to go wheels up in a 65 big block Impala !

Worth pointing out that these are all Impalas, as the lower models, like the Biscayne (Biscuit!!!) only ran two lights on each side, if I recall correctly (save for the oddball '59, of course). Please feel free to correct me if'n I'm mistaken on this (@BlueC ?).
