Car pics too cool not to share

Don't know how accurate all this information is but it's a cool story if true.

Jeffords AMX R “Ramble” seat.
Jim Jeffords was head of the Javelin Trans Am Racing Team for AMC in the late 60s. Jeffords wanted AMC to sanction the Ramble seat and allow him to buy and modify 500 AMX’s. Unfortunately, there were obstacles that prohibited the progress of such a project. In addition to political and liability hurdles, Ralph Nader, after learning of the AMX-R’s existence and the pending idea, declared it unsafe.

1947 Hudson Big Boy Pickup. Almost perfect except for a 454 Chevy engine I didn't bother to even look at.

Even the interior looked like it came from the showroom floor but my picture of that was a blurry mess.

C body MoPars really don't get much love. It's always cool to me seeing one done-up nicely, original or custom. There's a guy local to me who has a '67 or '68 Chrysler 2-door painted a deep purple with a lace top on bags. It's just such a rare car to see, and that makes it cool.

Sometimes it doesn't take a lot to make a cool cruiser out of a vintage car. Even a "many-door" can be made to look cool, if done right. There was a guy in Ballard years ago with a white '65 Chrysler New Yorker 4-door hardtop. He had lowered it all the way around, and had a set of lake pipes on it. The front hubcaps were set-up to not spin with the wheels (they were affixed to the end of the spindles, and in no way attached to the wheels). It made for a wild sight to see this thing slithering slowly down the road. With the factory fender skirts hiding so much of the rear wheels, and the front flipper-style hubcaps not turning, it looked exactly like his license plate read: SLIDER

Like a frame-swapped 4x4 '60 El Camino?

Or maybe the boat-tail Rivi?

For the last 10 years or so there has been someone running around here in a black, or maybe dark green, boat tail Rivi' as their daily driver. I see it at a local grocery store every few weeks. The other car at that person's house is a '68 Charger, and a younger guy dives that car. Both are well-worn, but driving.

And don't think I missed that Fury or the '62 Chevy parts car clearly selling bootlegged stuff out of the trunk.
