2006 TJ with 2.4L - after about 10 minutes of run time I notice smoke coming the cat converter. Has anyone experienced this and what is the fix? Can I remove the cat and just run straight pipe? Is there any other “tuning” that needs to be done if I remove the cat? Thanks

Generally when a CC is smoking it means it has become excessively HOT or something has dripped onto it causing the smoke.
Has the engine power recently decrease indicating the CC is obstructed ?

Depending on which cat it is. If its the big one then you can straight pipe it( thats what I have) without a cel. If its the precats then you will have to screw the downstream O2 sensors into a spark plug non fouler and then put it back in the exhaust pipe. Once you do that you can replace the two precats with straightpipes. Itll make the car sound badass too.
UPDATE
So I removed my cat to see what was going on with the smoke this weekend. There was a bolt inside of it which looks like it damaged the honeycomb filter. The bolt looks like it had been heating up and most likely was the cause of the smoke I was seeing. I did not see any other liquid or fluid on the pipe, only this bolt.

Could you post a picture of damage to the honey comb ?
IF its not too bad you may be able to just remove the bolt and reassemble the exhaust.
I am wondering WHERE the bolt came from !!!

Car shops used to commonly 'accidentally' sabotage people's cars to get them to come back for a nice expensive repair that the shop could fix in 5 min and charge big money for (like a catalytic converter). How many people would actually go and look underneath their car either before or after the repair?
I think the Lemon Laws helped stop a lot of this, but its unlikely your engine shit a bolt out of an exhaust port and is still running.

Keep digging you might find that missing spare key in the transfer case.
Someone dropped it after they had it off or someone in the factory wanted to fuck with someone.

I had a rattle in a SBF in a Fox body I acquired. Thumb over PCV valve rattle went away. Vent open rat a tat tat...
Finally I get pissed and pull the engine...disassemble...
A craftsmen 11/32 socket chilling in the oil pan.
Seriously some people. Where did that socket go? Don't know. Bolt the pan up and let's go.
