welp, gauge came back on. Got the alternator tested and it failed... I’d suggest getting it tested BEFORE bustin your knuckles putting it into the Jeep. Faulty part, replacing again later today. Work smarter, not harder is the lesson learned today.

Man are you telling me your new alternator failed too??

I don't know what alternator you got, but that is certainly one area where you want the best stock replacement you can get.

Yeah, this one is all on me for not checking before I installed it. I’ll be much smarter this time around.

I had the same thing with my unlimited xj It was the alternator.
I've changed it,
It's good,
good load and no problem after

Did getting another alternator work? Was it the ignition switch relay per chance?
