Chrysler 9.25 rear axle swap?

You always hear about Dana 44 and Dana 60, but what about Chrysler 9.25 rear axle? Feasible?

C clip axle, easy backlash adjustment collars. It's a better option than the Dana 35 for sure, but only the later model XJ 29 spline. Don't bother with the 27, not worth the time IMO.

Not as many locker/lsd/gearing options for it either.

The 9.25 is a decent medium duty diff. Just not popular so options are limited. Plus you need to fully fab it up to fit the TJ so may as well go 44 or 60, far more popular, far more options.

The 98 and up xj had an 8.25 not a 9.25. He's referring to the 27&29 spline 8.25. The 9.25 is a truck axle.
