I have a 99 tj 2.5l 5 speed manual, I am having this grinding sound i can feel it in the shifter with my hand is on it occasionally only in 4 low when say crawling down a hill in 1st or going up a hill just seems like whenever there is strain in 4low 1st or 2nd gear. It grinds just for a second and then sounds fine.
Dosent happen in 4 high or 2 , i tried giving it hell down the highway from 1st no grinding at all. I at first thought it was transmission gears grinding/slipping but could it be the tcase?
