Clearing Codes?

Hey all, QQ.

Yesterday I stupidly forgot to put my gas cap back on after a fillup. And next day didn't notice (jeez), and while driving my check engine light came on. When I got home I noticed the gas cap, and yes I checked the error and it is the P 0455 error. So that was it.

Question is, will the light go off by itself? Or do I need to figure out how to get someone to clear it for me?

I think after a couple of cycles it will turn off on its own.

It'll go away once your cap is back on and it registers that there is no longer an evap leak.

And to confirm, it DID turn itself off the next day while driving.
