Clipped speaker wire, now radio won't turn on

Today when I was bolting back in the speakers to the roll cage, the wires that run from the speakers/interior light to the amp caught caught behind the bolt and ever so slightly got cut and I didn't realize it. When I turned on the key, I heard a small initial "pop" from the amp and now my aftermarket head unit won't turn on/interior light wont' turn on. My initial guess is I short circuited the amp because the speaker wire was touching the metal bolt to the roll cage and the power light to the amp isn't on. I tried replacing the head unit and it still doesn't work. I've checked as many fuses as I can think of and none are blown. Any other suggestions besides replacing the amp? I figured even if the amp was blown, the head unit or interior light would come on.

Did you try the other head unit with the soundbar connected or disconnected? Maybe something in the soundbar shorted first?

The soundbar was connected when I put in the new head unit

Yeah, I'm far from an expert on this stuff, but I would start by disconnecting the soundbar to see if the head unit powers up. Then just try disconnected things one by one to see where the faulty component is.

Yeah I've unfortunately already tried disconnecting the soundbar and the head unit still doesn't come on. I'm just really curious if there is another fuse or place that could be an easy fix. I checked behind the glove box, inline fuse, and the fuses underneath the hood. The fact the amp made a pop sound when I turned the key on makes me think the amp is blown

Remove the head unit and look for an automotive fuse plugged into the back of the radio; many manufacturers have a protection fuse integrated into the back of the radio. This is probably what blew.

I would agree, but the other head unit should have turned on then.

Fuse on the back of the head unit isn't blown. And yeah the new head unit would have worked. Does the wiring from the soundbar go thru the aftermarket amp?

Depends on how you wired it I guess? At this point I would guess a fuse on the amp. Depending on the amp though it could be soldered right on the board rather than be easily replaceable.

Shorting a speaker cable should indeed cause the amp fuse to blow. I'm not an expert on car audio but for PA/rock band audio that should be replaceable
