Hi all. I have a 2001 TJ w cruise control. The clockspring has gone bad and I need a replacement. Apparently, they are no longer making these parts. What are my options to get it fixed up? Thanks.

Just go to a scrapyard and get one out of a xj all you have to do is open the middle out a little,I have been running one for years
I ran into this when I was researching replacing my clock spring (when I thought it was bad). You are correct that there is limited, to no available clock springs for cruise models of that year. I found a used one from a Jeep salvage yard. The other option was to modify one from an earlier year that had cruise (the connectors are the same but the hole diameter is to small and would have to be made larger (this is same principle of getting one out of an XJ mentioned above).
Thanks for the quick replies. I have read some conflicting indo on the xj part working. Can you co firm the following will work, and all that will need to be done is file or dremmel the hole a little bigger?

I ran to Pull a Part this morning to get a couple items. They had 3 cherokees from 99-01 range and all had the clock springs in them. I thought about grabbing one but all three were non-cruise parts. However, I think they would technically work the airbag and horn (those connectors were the same).
I just ordered one on ebay for an xj w cruise. I will keep everyone posted on the install. Thanks again.
