Closed loop solar powered 2nd battery.🪫

I have a Wolfbox mirror with front and rear view cameras.

There is an option of have it always on recording but reports online say it kills the battery.

I was wondering, has anyone for any purpose created a closed loop solar powered second battery circuit?

Or would I be better off just buying a Goal Zero or other brand lithium camping battery and use that?

Why not a second battery on a DC to DC charger?

Or do what I do and pretty much plug into a battery charger when at home.

Any idea how much current those cameras draw?

I once had a solar panel to keep the battery charged, and it didn’t keep up with the continuous 50 milliAmp current drain from the alarm system. And this is in Phoenix where we have intense sun all day, every day. I think the alarm’s continuous current drain and zero output at night from the solar panel was the issue.

I replaced the solar panel with a 1 Amp motorcycle battery charger/maintainer and haven’t had any issues.

I have a 299wh lithium iron phosphate “solar charger/generator” and two 100-watt solar panels to feed it a charge if I am parked during the day. Because of the days with lack of proper Sun exposure, for the panels, I will also have a hard wired pure sine wave inverter feeding the solar charger as my engine is running. All this is going on my current adventure trailer build. I am hoping that setup will run my cameras and LED lights at night, when I am remotely parked and nowhere near shore power. Although I already fear I need more battery capacity.
