Clunking noise while accelerating in 4WD

2005 TJ, only happens when accelerating (sometimes decelerating) in 4wd.
If this was a safety issue would it also be heard in 2wd?

What you need to do is remove the front shaft asap and see what happens...likely a bad cardan joint in front ...and leave it out if it goes away and get all new joints in the front before it locks up and destroys the transfer case.
