Driving home on the highway and my check engine light comes on. No problems at first, but then I felt like it seemed the back wheels slipping. Then the speedometer went from 60 to 50 to 40 to 30 and finally to about 10 mph. I took the next exit and pulled into a IHOP parking lot.
Now my Jeep will not go into reverse. The shifter works, but the transmission won't, but a buzzing sound seems to come from the dash.
Transmission fluid is at the proper level and was changed about 6000 miles ago.
I've seen some posts about transmission solenoid being the cause, but also several posts about the PCM could be the cause as well. Any ideas?
I didn't see any loose or burnt wires, either.
