Hello all. I’m lost in the wilderness with my 98 TJ. Had it stored all winter so I could replace some floor pans and fenders. Got everything put together, but no start. There may have been a slim chance that I kept the battery cables attached when I was welding, but highly unlikely. The only way I can start her is by hotwiring.... I have replaced the older battery and ignition coil. All of the gauges turn on when the key is on, but when I go to start the thing there’s no crank. I was able to hot wire it and drive it around for about 15 minutes and then got stranded on the side of the road. Maybe something with the alternator or ignition? I bought a code reader and code P1682 does pop up. Any help would be great. Thanks!
