Have a coolant leak posted a week ago or so. Dropping the Jeep off on the 4th to Jason at Absolute Offroad here in PHX. Filled back up with some distilled water and ran the car for 10-15 minutes since it hasn’t been started in week.

It was DUMPING coolant after reaching close to operating temp. From what I could find, it’s leaking from the hose near the thermostat, maybe the thermostat port itself, and almost looks like from the waterpump as well. It’s getting a full overhaul on the cooling system - but a question for everyone.

Could the leak and fan really blow coolant to the rear of the engine to drip near the rear main seal?

It was collecting a good coolant puddle in the front of the engine and in the rear (both of coolant) when running at operating temp. Didn’t drop at all the week it sat though. Here’s some photos of the leak in the back and the puddle it left after running for 15 minutes.

Here are some more from the front. Presuming hose and water pump. Again 15 minutes running in its spot.

Yes, the fan will make a big mess of things. The only things back there that could leak coolant are the heater core hoses or a block plug. A block plug is possible but since you know you have a leak up front, the fan makes a simpler explanation than two leaks springing up at the same time.
