I've noticed my coolant has been "burning off" leading me to refill it like every 3 weeks. My car also heats up when idle for more than 20 minutes. I've noticed dry white spray on the top of the hood and by the coolant hose.
Based off of what I've read on the forums, it seems that it's most likely the clamps that need to be replaced since I replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, and hoses less than two years ago.
I would do it myself, but I am currently living in an apartment for school and I don't think my superintendent will be too thrilled to see coolant all over the cement floors. Anyone know of any good general mechanics or Jeep guy in West LA? Someone who can do little stuff like that? I go to Duron in the valley, but I don't want to travel so far for something so small.
